The Professional Fighters League (PFL) has announced its 2024 playoffs will take place in three different cities in August, with the winners moving onto the championship card and the chance to win a $1 million grand prize.
So, the PFL’s hitting the road, folks. Three cards, three cities, all for the 2024 playoffs in August.
They made the big reveal on Monday. Dates, locations, divisions – the whole shebang. The kick-off? Aug. 2, Nashville Municipal Auditorium, Nashville, Tenn.
Who’s up first? The heavyweights and the women’s flyweight division. They’re taking the spotlight.
Then, it’s off to Hollywood. Not California, though, Florida. Aug. 16, Hard Rock Live. Light heavyweights and lightweights, it’s their time to shine.
The grand finale? Aug. 23, The Anthem, Washington D.C. The welterweights and featherweights are headlining this one.
What’s at stake? Well, these three cards decide the 12 finalists. They’ll be heading to the championship card later in 2024. The prize? A cool $1 million.
PFL CEO Peter Murray’s pretty pumped. He says, “PFL playoff action is second to none, with the best athletes in the sport vying for a chance to continue their million-dollar championship journeys.” He’s stoked to bring the 2024 PFL Global Season Playoffs to Nashville, Miami, and D.C. He’s also excited for the fans from 160 countries tuning in.
The playoffs aren’t like the season format. No points for wins or method of victory. It’s simple: win and move on, lose and go home.
The second half of PFL’s 2024 season? It’s already underway. Kicked off on Thursday, June 13, from the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Conn. Then, it’s off to Salt Lake City on June 21 and wraps on June 28 in South Dakota. So, buckle up, it’s gonna be a wild ride.
