Aaron Chalmers & Others Challenge Darren Till After Tommy Fury Backs Out

After Tommy Fury withdrew from a scheduled boxing match with Darren Till, fighters Billy Joe Saunders, Aaron Chalmers, and Anthony Taylor have expressed interest in stepping in to face Till instead.

Darren Till’s January fight plans? Oh, he’s got options galore.

Tommy Fury bailed on their Jan. 18 boxing match. His reason? Claims Till might sneak in some MMA moves—kicks and all that jazz. Now, Billy Joe Saunders, Aaron Chalmers, and Anthony Taylor are ready to step up.

Chalmers, a reality TV star turned fighter, isn’t fazed by the MMA talk. On Instagram, he threw shade at Fury: “More than happy to take this fight since [Fury] shit himself.”

In a twist, Chalmers revealed he was in talks to fight Till before Fury swooped in. He’s even cool with mixing martial arts in the ring.

“I’m game anytime—December, January, February,” Chalmers said in a video. “He can throw head kicks; I’ll return the favor. No sweat!”

Chalmers last fought in September 2023 at Misfits Boxing. He lost by TKO to Idris Virgo in the third round.

Saunders is also eager for a comeback after his first loss—a brutal eighth-round TKO against Canelo Alvarez in May 2021. That fight left him with an injured eye socket.

“Make an offer I’ll step in,” Saunders shared on Instagram. “Old fat gypsy boy will take this over from here.”

Before losing to Canelo, Saunders boasted a flawless 30-0 record.

Anthony Taylor’s callout? Not shocking. The Misfits Boxing light heavyweight champ loves challenging everyone and has now added Till to his list.

Taylor posted: “Anthony Taylor vs. Darren Till. Main event, book it [Misfits Boxing].”

No word yet from Misfits Boxing on whether Till stays on the card or if they’re rescheduling him for another date.
