Abus Magomedov will face Brunno Ferreira at UFC 308, headlined by Ilia Topuria vs. Max Holloway for the featherweight championship, with the event taking place on Oct. 26 at Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Arena.
Abus Magomedov is the latest Russian fighter to join UFC 308. He’s set to face Brunno Ferreira on the Oct. 26 card. Multiple sources confirmed this to MMA Fighting after Laerte Viana’s report.
UFC 308 features a thrilling main event: Ilia Topuria vs. Max Holloway for the featherweight championship. The co-main event? Robert Whittaker versus Khamzat Chimaev. The action unfolds at Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Arena.
Ferreira (12-1) was originally slated to fight Roman Kopylov on Aug. 24. Unfortunately, Kopylov had to withdraw due to illness.
Known as “Hulk,” Ferreira has been on fire lately. He scored first-round knockouts in his last two UFC fights, earning performance bonuses for his brutal finishes of Phil Hawes and Dustin Stoltzfus.
Magomedov (26-6-1) recently secured a decision victory over Warlley Alves in May. This win helped him bounce back from consecutive decision losses to Caio Borralho and Sean Strickland.
The 33-year-old Dagestani is no stranger to finishing fights. Fourteen of his 26 wins came by knockout, including a lightning-fast, 19-second stoppage of Stoltzfus in his octagon debut.
And there you have it—another exciting addition to an already stacked UFC 308 lineup!
