Alex Pereira KO’s Jiri Prochazka at UFC 303 from Cageside Angle

Alex Pereira defended his UFC light heavyweight title by knocking out Jiri Prochazka in the second round at UFC 303, marking his second victory over Prochazka and continuing his impressive streak of wins across multiple divisions.

Alex Pereira’s latest masterpiece? Even more brutal up close.

On Saturday, Pereira added another accolade to his growing collection. He knocked out Jiri Prochazka for the second time in seven months at UFC 303.

While there was some debate about an early stoppage the first time at UFC 295, this rematch left no room for doubt. Pereira demolished Prochazka with a head kick and follow-up punches, defending his UFC light heavyweight title just 13 seconds into the second round.

Afterward, ESPN released cageside video of the vicious fight-ending sequence. You can watch it below.

Pereira (11-2) is one of only nine fighters in UFC history to capture titles in two divisions. He also won the middleweight belt by defeating Israel Adesanya in 2022.

In total, Pereira has won eight of his nine UFC appearances. Impressively, he has defeated either current or former champions in six of those contests.

Post-fight, Pereira teased moving up to heavyweight. Could he become the first fighter to win belts in three separate divisions?

UFC 303 took place on June 29 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
