Alexander Volkanovski has returned with his comedic alter ego “Old Man Volk,” filming a new sketch about running a pasta sauce business while making cheeky references to his fighting career.
Alexander Volkanovski’s alter ego is back. Yeah, you heard that right.
With a lot of time on his hands, the former featherweight champ has been busy. How, you ask? Filming another “Old Man Volk” sketch. This latest installment was uploaded Tuesday by Sportsbet.com.au.
In this episode, Volkanovski’s aged character dives into an independent pasta sauce business. But there’s a twist—a pesky old rival is still lurking around.
Watch the video below. Go on, you know you want to!
Volkanovski, who just turned a spry 36 in September, throws in cheeky nods to his fighting career. At one point, he tells a customer wanting to pay by card that “he never taps.” Classic Volk humor!
And then there’s Beverly. Remember her? His neighbor from the original Old Man Volk clip? She’s back too, adding more spice to the mix.
Volkanovski’s comedic character has become quite the sensation. He even showed up as Old Man Volk at a press conference before his fight with Ilia Topuria at UFC 298 last February.
Unfortunately, that bout didn’t end well for him. It marked his first loss at 145 pounds and saw him losing his featherweight title to Topuria via knockout.
Let’s keep our fingers crossed that this skit brings better luck for Volkanovski this time around!
