Aline Pereira, sister of UFC champion Alex Pereira, made a successful Karate Combat debut by knocking out Dee Begley in the first round, showcasing skills taught by her brother.
Aline Pereira had quite the mentor. Her brother, UFC champ Alex Pereira, taught her well. On Friday night, at Karate Combat 50, she showcased her skills with a first-round knockout of Dee Begley. This event took place at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.
“That’s the Pereira left hook,” Aline remarked post-fight. “My big brother’s the one that showed me.” She clearly knows how to pack a punch.
The official Karate Combat Twitter account couldn’t contain their excitement. “AND THE WINNER IS…. CHAMA,” they tweeted. Aline’s victory was nothing short of spectacular. A vicious punch followed by some ground and pound sealed the deal.
Despite Begley missing weight by four pounds, Aline didn’t back down. It was her debut in Karate Combat, and she made sure it was memorable.
Meanwhile, Alex Pereira is riding high on his own success. Just last Saturday, he retained his light heavyweight title with a fourth-round TKO over Khalil Rountree at UFC 307. Quite the week for the Pereira siblings!
