Amanda Nunes Hints UFC Return; Reactions from Julianna Pena, Kayla Harrison

Former UFC champion Amanda Nunes indicated she might return to fighting, drawing reactions from fellow fighters Julianna Peña and Kayla Harrison during a UFC 316 press conference.

Former two-division UFC champion Amanda Nunes might be gearing up for a comeback. Yep, you heard that right.

At the UFC 316 press conference in Miami, a star-studded lineup took center stage. Dana White, Merab Dvalishvili, Sean O’Malley, Julianna Peña, and Kayla Harrison were there. Oh, and did I mention Nunes? She got a big ovation from the crowd.

Dana White was asked if he thinks Nunes will fight again. His response? “Do I think Amanda Nunes fights again? She just said yes.” Simple as that.

Nunes nodded with a huge smile—couldn’t miss it! But hold on, Peña had something to say too. Remember when she wasn’t thrilled about Nunes retiring after her win over Irena Aldana at UFC 289?

Peña chimed in: “Which means that booing her in Canada was right because I knew she was retiring too early.” Bold words! She continued, saying Nunes is just waiting it out on the sidelines.

Peña recently snagged the title back with a decision win over Raquel Pennington at UFC 307. Meanwhile, Harrison secured her title shot on the same night by defeating Ketlen Vieira.

When asked about a potential showdown with Nunes if she beats Peña on June 7, Harrison didn’t hesitate. “Absolutely,” she said. Confident much?

But Peña fired back: “Not for the belt.” Oh, the drama!
