Ashley Yoder Criticizes Squid Game for Being ‘Predetermined’ After Joining New Season

Ashley Yoder, a long-time UFC veteran, was a contestant on the new season of Squid Game on Netflix, but ultimately had a negative experience and would not do it again.

Ashley Yoder, a long-time UFC veteran, recently participated in the new season of Squid Game on Netflix. Despite enjoying some aspects of the experience, she ultimately revealed that she was not thrilled with the show’s pre-determined nature and the poor treatment of the majority of the cast. Yoder expressed her discontent with the experience on Instagram, stating that she would not participate again if given the chance.

Throughout her UFC career, Yoder has lost three straight fights and holds a 3-8 record. In her most recent fight, she returned from a lengthy layoff to face Emily Ducote at UFC Vegas 81, ultimately losing by decision. Despite her recent struggles in the Octagon, Yoder remains grateful for the opportunity to make new friends while participating in Squid Game, even though the overall experience was not a positive one for her.

While Yoder was initially excited to be a contestant on Squid Game, her time on the show left much to be desired. The 36-year-old fighter revealed that she realized something was amiss only after arriving at the UK hotel where the contestants were housed during the show. Despite the challenges she faced, Yoder acknowledged that the experience allowed her to form new friendships, which she remains grateful for. Ultimately, her return to reality television was one that she did not find fulfilling or worthwhile, as she expressed her disappointment with the show’s handling of the contestants.
