Belal Muhammad Criticizes Sean Strickland After UFC 312 Loss

UFC welterweight champ Belal Muhammad harshly criticized Sean Strickland after his one-sided loss to Dricus du Plessis at UFC 312, accusing him of being an undeserving fighter who makes excuses for his poor performances.

UFC welterweight champ Belal Muhammad’s having a field day with Sean Strickland’s recent loss.

Strickland headlined UFC 312 last Saturday. It was a rematch for the middleweight title against Dricus du Plessis. Strickland lost in a one-sided unanimous decision.

Muhammad, no stranger to sparring with Strickland on social media, reacted harshly to the defeat. He didn’t hold back.

“I’ve been saying it forever: Sean sucks,” Muhammad declared. “He’s trash. Talks big, never delivers. Fans hype him up as the best boxer, but all he does is jab and teep like he’s scared.”

“Even when losing badly, he doesn’t go all out,” Muhammad continued. “He acts crazy for the cameras but fights like a coward. Just a racist clown hiding in a fighter’s body.”

Their first clash? Thirteen months ago at UFC 297, where Strickland narrowly lost his belt to du Plessis via split decision. He got a rematch after defeating Paulo Costa at UFC 302 in June.

Du Plessis then stopped Israel Adesanya at UFC 305 for his first title defense. Many believed Khamzat Chimaev deserved the shot over Strickland after his impressive win over Robert Whittaker at UFC 308.

Muhammad seemed to agree with this sentiment as he continued critiquing Strickland’s performance.

“Now he’ll say, ‘Oh, I had staph,’” Muhammad mocked. “‘I fought for you guys despite my nose breaking and barely jabbing. All excuses so fans think he’s a hero.’”

“He sucks,” Muhammad concluded. “Finally, we can stop giving him undeserved title shots. That’s all I got.”
