Bellator MMA is officially on Showtime. The announcement comes today in a press conference with Bellator MMA’s President Scott Coker, Showtime Boxing Commentator Mauro Ranallo, and Showtime’s Sports President Stephen Espinoza. The first Bellator event on SHowtime will be Bellator 255 on April 2nd, with Bellator Featherweight Champion Patricio Freire vs. Emmanuel Sanchez. This fight will be the Featherweight Grand Prix’s semifinals, with the winner facing AJ McKee in the finals.

The news of the first event on Showtime wasn’t the only big reveal Bellator had planned. Bellator announced that there would be a Light Heavyweight Grand Prix with the light heavyweight championship on the line. During the reveal, Bellator announced the bracket of the best light heavyweight’s in Bellator. One fight people are most excited about is Yoel Romero vs. Anthony Johnson at Bellator 256 on April 9th. Bellator light heavyweight champion Vadim Nemkov will have his first title defense against Phil Davis in the main event of Bellator 256.
