Five fighters, including heavyweights Lorenzo Hunt and Todd Duffee, have received potentially lengthy medical suspensions following BKFC KnuckleMania 4 due to potential injuries.
Well, here’s the scoop. After the BKFC KnuckleMania 4, five fighters are staring down potentially long medical suspensions. The heavyweights, Lorenzo Hunt and Todd Duffee, are among them. This info came straight from the California State Athletic Commission, and they spilled the beans to MMA Fighting.
So, what happened? Hunt and Duffee didn’t have the best night. They both got knocked out in the first round. Mick Terrill and Ben Rothwell were the ones who did the damage. The fights were part of Saturday’s pay-per-view card, and they didn’t end well for our heavyweights. Hunt’s left elbow and Duffee’s left shoulder took a hit. Now, they’re looking at a 180-day suspension unless a doc gives them the all-clear.
But wait, there’s more. Three other fighters are in the same boat. Jeremiah Riggs, Evgeny Kurdanov, and Victor Rosas also received 180-day medical suspensions. Riggs might have a fractured right knee and right hand fourth finger. Kurdanov could have a fractured left bicep, and Rosas might have a fractured left eye. They can return to the ring earlier if a physician gives them the green light.
BKFC KnuckleMania 4 happened on April 27. The location? The Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, Calif. The main event was a sight to behold. Bare-knuckle star Mike Perry steamrolled over Thiago Alves in just 60 seconds.
