Brandon Moore Wins Boxing Title in Bizarre Crowd Incident

Brandon Moore won the vacant IBF/USBA men’s heavyweight title after Skylar Lacy was disqualified for unsportsmanlike conduct during their match in Flint, Michigan.

Brandon Moore snagged the vacant IBF/USBA men’s heavyweight title in a rather bizarre fashion on Sunday night. The scene unfolded in Flint, Michigan, during the co-main event of the Claressa Shields vs. Danielle Perkins title fight. It was something straight out of WWE.

Throughout the match, Moore took the role of aggressor, throwing punches while dealing with Skylar Lacy’s constant hugging. At one point, things got wild when they knocked a cameraman off the ring ropes—Lacy was clinging to Moore like his life depended on it.

Things escalated further in the eighth round. Lacy, after losing two points, went full throttle and attempted what looked like a takedown. Both fighters ended up flying outside the ring.

Referee Ansel Stewart called them back into the ring. But Lacy? He remained sprawled out on top of a table, with Moore trapped beneath him. Stewart had seen enough and disqualified Lacy for unsportsmanlike conduct.

Moore returned to the ring alone and was crowned the new IBF/USBA men’s heavyweight champion. What a night! If you missed it, you can check out that crazy finishing sequence below.
