Breaking: UFC Inks Deal with Atomweight Champ Rayanne dos Santos

Atomweight champion Rayanne dos Santos has joined the UFC as a strawweight fighter and is set to make her debut soon, although the date and opponent have not yet been determined.

Rayanne dos Santos, the reigning Invicta FC atomweight champion, is making her way to the UFC roster as a strawweight contender, according to sources familiar with the matter. While the UFC has yet to finalize a date and opponent for dos Santos’ debut in the octagon, her signing marks an exciting development for the rising star.

Throughout her professional career, dos Santos has achieved an impressive record, securing victories in 14 out of 20 fights. Notably, eight of these wins were attained through first-round submissions. Although she faced a setback with a decision loss to Denise Gomes in a strawweight matchup during Dana White’s Contender Series in August 2022, dos Santos swiftly bounced back with an exceptional performance. In a commendable display of resilience, she clinched three consecutive victories, culminating in a remarkable Invicta FC title triumph over Jillian DeCoursey in May of this year.

Hailing from Brazil, the 28-year-old athlete began her MMA journey in 2015, honing her skills under the guidance of UFC veterans Iuri Alcantara and Ildemar Alcantara in her hometown of Para. Recently, dos Santos made a pivotal decision to relocate to the United States, joining the esteemed Renzo Gracie Texas gym to further refine her craft.

Excitement is palpable within the MMA community as Rayanne dos Santos transitions to the UFC, readying herself for a highly anticipated debut. As fans eagerly await news of her octagon premiere, dos Santos’ remarkable talent and determination make her an intriguing addition to the strawweight division.
