Bruno Silva Leaves Henry Cejudo for ATT Before UFC Vegas 94

Bruno Silva, after training with Henry Cejudo for most of his MMA career, moved to American Top Team in Florida in 2024 for better training opportunities and personal benefits, and is set to fight Cody Durden at UFC Vegas 94 aiming for another knockout and bonus.

Bruno Silva built most of his MMA career training alongside former two-division UFC champion Henry Cejudo. But in 2024, he decided to change things up.

Set to fight Cody Durden at UFC Vegas 94 this Saturday, “Bulldog” shared with MMA Fighting why he moved from Arizona to Florida. He joined American Top Team earlier this year.

“There’s a lot of great people here,” Silva said about ATT. “There are three world champions here: Alexandre Pantoja, Adriano Moraes, and Kyoji Horiguchi.” That’s one reason he made the switch.

Silva has known Pantoja for many years. They go back to when the now UFC flyweight king made his octagon debut after being on The Ultimate Fighter 24 with Cejudo as coach.

He will have former UFC contender Jussier Formiga in his corner. Striking coach Anderson França and Bellator veteran Danny Sabatello were also key members of his camp.

“I’ve always heard great things about here,” Silva said. He loved Arizona and spent nine years at Fight Ready with Cejudo but did the math and moving made sense.

“It’s closer to Brazil, easier to visit family.” The weather is better, there’s a beach, and it’s the world’s biggest gym. Plus, no tax in Florida and the gym charges only five percent—half of what he paid at Fight Ready.

Silva won his past three UFC fights with finishes and $50,000 bonuses for each victory but hasn’t fought in over a year. Multiple matchups fell through during that time.

They will finally meet Saturday. Silva wants to get the job done and stay active going forward.

“Another knockout and another bonus,” Silva said about his plans for UFC Vegas 94. “I don’t know what round or how, but I know it’s happening.”

“I’m ready for this.” It was one of his best camps ever, and he’s very happy to be fighting again. “I’m living the dream here, so I have to be happy.”

No complaints, man.
