Bryce Mitchell Issues Statement After Controversial Holocaust Comments

Bryce Mitchell faced widespread backlash for making anti-Semitic and Holocaust-denying comments on his podcast, later apologizing for being “insensitive,” while UFC President Dana White condemned his statements but confirmed Mitchell would not be released from the promotion.

Bryce Mitchell stirred up quite the storm with his recent podcast comments. He shockingly referred to Adolf Hitler as “a good guy” and made anti-Semitic remarks, diving into Holocaust denial theories.

The backlash was swift and fierce on social media. UFC peers, including Jan Blachowicz, urged him to visit historical sites like Warsaw and Auschwitz, which suffered greatly under Nazi rule.

On Instagram, Mitchell issued an apology. He admitted to being “insensitive” and promised to be more thoughtful when discussing historical suffering.

“I’m sorry I sounded insensitive,” he wrote. Acknowledging the Holocaust’s reality, he distanced himself from Nazism, condemning Hitler’s atrocities.

His podcast statements were a stark contrast. There, he bizarrely claimed Hitler was misunderstood and spouted conspiracies about Jewish people.

Dana White, UFC President, didn’t hold back at a Power Slap press conference. He labeled Mitchell’s words as “the worst” he’d heard in years.

White reminded everyone of WWII’s grim statistics: 6 million Jews killed by Hitler, alongside millions more in a devastating global conflict.

“Hitler is one of the most disgusting and evil human beings,” White emphasized. He criticized the internet for amplifying ignorance.

Despite this strong rebuke, White stated the UFC wouldn’t police speech. Mitchell remains with the promotion after discussions about his comments.
