Chris Duncan Calls Out Opponent’s KO in UFC Paris Finish

Chris Duncan secured a technical submission victory against Bolaji Oki at UFC Paris after realizing Oki was unconscious following a guillotine choke attempt.

Chris Duncan scored a very odd submission victory at UFC Paris.

On Saturday, UFC Paris took place at Accor Arena. In the opening fight of the evening, Duncan faced Bolaji Oki in a lightweight contest. The ending? Totally unconventional. As Oki shot for a takedown, Duncan jumped on a guillotine choke and pulled guard. He squeezed for the submission.

Oki fought off the choke for a while. It looked like he had finally freed himself when Duncan let go of the choke. Then, Duncan started punching from his back. Only then did he realize Oki was, in fact, unconscious.

Duncan alerted referee Loic Pora. Pora stepped in to halt the bout. This awarded Duncan the technical submission victory at 3:44 of the first round.

The win moves Duncan to 3-1 inside the UFC octagon. Afterwards, he shouted out American Top Team teammate Dustin Poirier saying, “Don’t be silly, jump the gilly!”
