Ciryl Gane’s House Burglarized Amidst UFC Paris Event – A Report

UFC Paris headliner Ciryl Gane was allegedly robbed of items worth over $166,000 USD, including jewelry and a Rolex watch, while fighting in an event, and a member of Gane’s team is alleged to have potentially aided the thieves.

Ciryl Gane, headliner of the UFC Paris, was reportedly robbed while engaged in his fight during the past Saturday’s event, the French newspaper Le Parisien detailed. The alleged incident took place in Gane’s home in Nogent-sur-Marne while he was involved in the main event with Serghei Spivac at the Accor Arena in Paris. Upon discovering the robbery on Sunday morning, the police were called to the scene where the front door was found to be forced open.

One of the significant revelations made by the police was the absence of items amounting to a value of over $150,000 Euros which is approximately over $166,000 USD. The list of missing items from Gane’s dwelling included valuable items like jewellery and a Rolex watch. Going deeper into the case, a source anonymously alleged that possibly a member from Gane’s entourage provided the robbers with his schedule which helped them commit the theft.

The robbery event coincided with a critical time in Gane’s carrier. The victory that he secured in the second round by TKO on Saturday was quite significant. It was observed as a necessary win for Gane following his submission loss in the first round to heavyweight champion Jon Jones at UFC 285. This win kept “Bon Gamin” in the view for the championship conversation in the potentially changing heavyweight division, as it came right before Jones’s next title defense against ex-champion Stipe Miocic at UFC 295 scheduled for November.
