Cody Garbrandt has withdrawn from his scheduled fight against Miles Johns at UFC Vegas 100 due to injury, marking the second time their bout has been canceled, with Johns now expected to be rebooked for a future event.
Cody Garbrandt and Miles Johns must be hoping that the third time’s the charm for their elusive matchup. Their scheduled fight has been canceled yet again.
UFC officials have confirmed to MMA Fighting that Garbrandt withdrew from the bantamweight bout due to an injury. This fight was supposed to go down at UFC Vegas 100 this Saturday. BJPENN.com broke the news first.
Attempts were made to find a replacement opponent, but no luck there. So, Johns is off the card entirely and will be rebooked for another event in the future.
This isn’t the first time plans have gone awry for these two fighters. They were initially slated to clash at UFC Vegas 98 last October. However, that bout got pushed to November 9 for reasons still under wraps.
Garbrandt had only one bout in 2024, where he faced Deiveson Figueiredo and lost via submission at UFC 300 in April. Meanwhile, Johns is eager to extend his winning streak, having triumphed over his last three foes (excluding a no-contest).
