Conor McGregor Alcohol Removed from Ireland Airports After Assault Verdict

Conor McGregor‘s reputation suffers further as Irish airports and retailers pull his alcohol products following a court ruling finding him liable for a 2018 sexual assault, leading to his disassociation from Proper No. Twelve and other brands.

Conor McGregor’s troubles just keep piling up. Airports in Cork and Dublin have pulled his alcohol products from their bars. This comes after he was found liable for a 2018 sexual assault incident.

The daa, formerly Dublin Airport Authority, confirmed to Cork Beo that Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey and Forged Irish Stout are no longer on sale at their premises. Interestingly, McGregor launched Proper No. Twelve in 2018 but sold it to Proximo Spirits in 2021. Till recently, he was the face of the brand, but not anymore—Proximo Spirits decided to cut ties with him this past Tuesday.

Oh, and about Forged Irish Stout? It only hit the market in 2021. But now, it’s facing the same fate as his whiskey.

In a broader move, several major retailers like Tesco and SuperValu have also removed these products from their shelves. Even IO Interactive, a video game publisher, has distanced itself by pulling McGregor’s content from its Hitman: World of Assassination game.

On November 22nd, a High Court jury ruled against McGregor for the sexual assault of Nikita Hand. The incident allegedly took place at a Dublin hotel in December 2018. As a result, he’s been ordered to pay over $250,000 in damages.

McGregor, now 36, is still a big name in UFC circles. He’s a former two-division champion but hasn’t fought since that nasty leg break against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021.
