Conor McGregor Foresees Nate Diaz Dominating Jake Paul: Paul Claps Back

Conor McGregor predicts Nate Diaz will defeat Jake Paul in their upcoming boxing match, while Paul challenges McGregor to a future bout in Dublin.

Conor McGregor has recently given his prediction for the upcoming boxing match between Jake Paul and Nate Diaz, which is scheduled to take place on August 5 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas. McGregor and Diaz have faced each other twice in the UFC octagon, with Diaz winning the first fight by submission and McGregor taking the rematch by decision. Given his experience with Diaz, McGregor believes he has a good understanding of what Diaz is capable of in the ring.

In an interview with Inside Fighting, McGregor expressed his confidence in Diaz’s ability to win his pro boxing debut. “I think Nate Diaz slaps the head off of him and I look forward to seeing it,” McGregor stated. This comment caught the attention of Jake Paul, who not only predicts that he will defeat Diaz, but also challenged McGregor to a boxing match, suggesting they could box in Dublin as the co-main event on the same night as Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano.

Paul took to Twitter to respond to McGregor’s comment, saying, “I’m a better boxer than you Conor and will do what you couldn’t and knock Nate out. After Nate let’s box as the co-main event same night as Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano in Dublin. But since you’re not your own boss you will hide behind [UFC President] Dana [White] or just drink the rest of your life away. August 5th you will see.” Paul is coming off his first setback in his boxing career, a decision loss to reality TV star Tommy Fury. Meanwhile, McGregor, a former two-division UFC champion, has recently finished filming season 31 of The Ultimate Fighter and is expected to face Michael Chandler in a welterweight bout after the season airs.
