McGregor’s long-awaited return was set for UFC 303‘s main event this past June. An injury forced him out, leading to many questions about both fighters’ futures as 2024 progresses.
On Saturday, McGregor sent Chandler some positive news. He mentioned a conversation with UFC CEO Dana White, assuring the fight will happen before year’s end.
“I talked to Dana today about our new date, all looking good,” McGregor tweeted to Chandler. “[2024] for sure.”
Chandler, as expected, is satisfied with this update.
Chandler has been on the sidelines for quite some time himself. His next fight will be his first since being submitted by Dustin Poirier at UFC 281 in November 2022.
