Dana White made several announcements, including the location of UFC 298, a featherweight championship headliner, and a middleweight bout for a Fight Night event in Las Vegas.
Dana White had a busy Thanksgiving, as he took to social media to make several announcements for upcoming UFC events. Among the news shared was the location for UFC 298, which is set to feature a featherweight championship bout between Alexander Volkanovski and Ilia Topuria. The event is scheduled for February 17 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. This will be the second pay-per-view of 2024 for the promotion.
In addition to the UFC 298 announcement, White revealed that the Fight Night event in Las Vegas on February 10 will be headlined by a middleweight bout between Jack Hermansson and Joe Pyfer. Hermansson, a perennial ranked contender, will be making his return to the octagon after more than a year since his last fight. His most recent loss was to Roman Dolidze at UFC Orlando last December. Joe Pyfer, on the other hand, has a record of 3-0 in the UFC since earning his contract on the Contender Series.
The announcement of UFC 298 and the Fight Night event in early February brings excitement for UFC fans for the upcoming year, as they eagerly await the matchups and outcomes of these highly anticipated fights.
