Dana White expressed confusion and criticism over Khabib Nurmagomedov‘s recent removal from a Frontier Airlines flight, questioning why the wealthy former UFC champion was flying with the budget airline and suggesting that his treatment may warrant investigation into potential profiling.
Dana White’s baffled. Why on earth was Khabib Nurmagomedov flying Frontier Airlines? He’s not too thrilled about his former lightweight champ getting booted off a flight recently, either.
A video went viral showing Khabib arguing with a flight attendant. The issue? Sitting in an exit row seat, where passengers must assist others in emergencies. Although Khabib assured them he was capable and spoke English, he was asked to change seats or leave. Eventually, he left the plane.
“What the f*ck is he doing on Frontier Airlines anyway?” Dana White exclaimed during Pardon My Take. “This kid’s got more money than anybody, yet he’s flying on that airline.”
White continued, “I don’t know what you have to do to get kicked off Frontier Airlines. Khabib doesn’t fight anymore ’cause he’s loaded. I’ve gotta teach him how to charter a plane, especially for short trips like Vegas to San Francisco.”
The incident sparked a response from the Council on American-Islamic Relations. They called for a full investigation, questioning if religious or racial profiling influenced Khabib’s treatment.
Frontier Airlines responded with a statement. They clarified the video only captured part of a later interaction with a gate agent after a flight attendant had already spoken to Khabib about moving from the exit row.
“Due to the customer’s initial unresponsiveness and repeated refusals to change seats, he was asked to deplane as per airline and FAA policy,” said Frontier Airlines. “The decision had nothing to do with his ethnicity. We refunded him and his companions.”
White remains perplexed by Khabib’s treatment, given the responsibilities tied to those exit row seats.
“That’s how dumb they are on Frontier Airlines,” White remarked. “If there’s anyone you want in that position, it’s Khabib Nurmagomedov. Good job, Frontier Airlines.”
As for Khabib flying Frontier and sitting in coach? White assures us that the retired champ could easily afford an upgrade.
“Not only did Dana pay him well after beating Conor McGregor, but he also went on a Muslim world tour,” White revealed. “Saudi Arabia showered him with money, Abu Dhabi showered him, Qatar showered him.”
“Khabib shouldn’t even know what the f*ck Frontier Airlines is,” White added. “He’s got plenty of money.”
