Dana White demands Peloton bikes removed from UFC gym over conflict with comedian Theo Von

UFC CEO Dana White demanded that all Peloton exercise equipment be removed from his gyms after the company demanded the removal of a podcast episode, resulting in a rant against the company and its CEO.

Dana White, the CEO of UFC, has demanded that all Peloton exercise equipment be removed from the UFC Performance Institute after being informed by comedian Theo Von that Peloton had demanded the removal of a past episode of his podcast. White expressed his frustration during a podcast, criticizing Peloton and its CEO Barry McCarthy. He then instructed the UFC’s executive vice president of operations and productions to remove all Peloton bikes from the gym.

The decision to remove Peloton equipment from the UFC gym came after White had previously stood his ground against a major UFC sponsor who requested the removal of a pro-Donald Trump post. Despite not revealing if the UFC continued doing business with the unnamed company, White quickly moved to rid the gym of the Peloton bikes after hearing Von’s experience with the company. White expressed his anger towards Peloton and McCarthy, denouncing their actions as arrogant and pompous.

Peloton has been experiencing a rough financial period, reporting a net loss and a decline in sales for a recent quarter. Despite announcing partnerships with the NBA and WNBA, Peloton’s stock has also experienced a significant drop. McCarthy’s claim that every company would want to partner with Peloton may not extend to the UFC after White’s scathing criticism of the company. White’s decision to remove Peloton equipment from the UFC gym reflects his strong reaction to the company’s actions.
