Daniel Cormier assembled a diverse coaching team for The Ultimate Fighter 33, including WWE superstar Julius Creed (Jacob Kasper), alongside UFC veteran Michael Chiesa and experienced coaches Bob Cook, John Wood, Rosendo Sanchez, and Tiago Beowulf.
Daniel Cormier’s team on The Ultimate Fighter 33 is quite the eclectic mix. Among the coaches, a WWE superstar makes an unexpected appearance.
Julius Creed, known off-stage as Jacob Kasper, joined Cormier’s crew just a day after showing up on WWE’s Monday Night Raw. In WWE, he teams up with his brother Drew Kasper—together they’re the Brutus and Julius of American Made.
But wait—Kasper’s not just about the glitz and glam of wrestling entertainment. His roots are in Ohio, where he grew into a two-time NCAA All-American wrestler at Duke University. He even chased the Olympic dream back in 2016.
He’s no newbie to Cormier’s circle either. They’ve crossed paths before when preparing for one of Cormier’s epic battles against Jon Jones.
Now, how will Kasper juggle this dual role? It’s a bit murky. As a Monday Night Raw regular, his schedule’s packed with performances on Mondays and sometimes Saturdays if there’s a big event.
Cormier didn’t stop there with his coaching lineup. UFC veteran Michael Chiesa joins the fray alongside seasoned head coaches Bob Cook from American Kickboxing Academy and John Wood from Syndicate MMA in Vegas.
Adding more punch to the team are boxing coach Rosendo Sanchez and kickboxing pro Tiago Beowulf. Quite the powerhouse ensemble!
The upcoming season of The Ultimate Fighter sees Cormier facing off against Chael Sonnen as they guide men’s flyweights and welterweights. Catch it all starting May 27 on ESPN2 or stream away on ESPN+.
