Darren Till Criticizes Fans Attacking Israel Adesanya After UFC Loss

Darren Till criticized MMA fans for their negative comments on Israel Adesanya‘s recent losses, emphasizing Adesanya’s achievements and status as one of the greatest middleweights, while expressing disbelief at the lack of appreciation for such fighters.

Darren Till’s not too thrilled with some MMA fans and their views on Israel Adesanya. The former UFC middleweight champ, Adesanya, was stopped by Nassourdine Imavov during the UFC Saudi Arabia main event in Riyadh. It’s his third straight loss, and four out of the last five fights haven’t gone his way. This has led many, including ex-champ Michael Bisping, to suggest Adesanya’s “time at the top is done.”

But Darren Till? He’s got a different take. He took to Twitter to voice his confusion about comments suggesting Adesanya’s “downfall” needs studying. Really? Studying? Till can’t wrap his head around it. He’s baffled by the notion of a downfall when it comes to Adesanya.

Till admits he’s not best buds with Izzy, nor his biggest fan outside the cage. Yet, he acknowledges Adesanya’s achievements in the sport. Remember when Izzy was unbeatable at middleweight? Yeah, those were the days. He wrecked everyone—Paulo Costa, Robert Whittaker—you name it.

Till’s rant continues: today’s MMA fans? Dumb as rocks, he says. They don’t get it; they don’t appreciate greatness when they see it. In his eyes, Adesanya should be revered by fans and the UFC alike for what he’s done.

In that fight against Imavov, Adesanya started strong but got poked in the eye in round two. Instead of taking a break, he kept fighting—only to get floored by a big shot from Imavov. Tough break.

Adesanya had an impressive title run before losing to Alex Pereira in 2022, only to win it back months later by knocking Pereira out at UFC 287. But then came Sean Strickland at UFC 293 and Dricus du Plessis at UFC 305—more losses.

Till gets that fans might not love every fighter, but that doesn’t erase their accomplishments. He even gives props to Colby Covington—a guy who’s got cardio for days and runs up mountains—but gets flak for his antics outside the octagon.

In conclusion? Some fans are just… well, dumb according to Till. Over and out!
