Darren Till Dismisses Anthony Taylor Callout: Promises Easy Knockout

Darren Till has accepted Anthony Taylor’s callout for a fight following Taylor’s recent victory at Misfits Boxing 17.

Darren Till accepts Anthony Taylor’s callout.

Over the weekend, Taylor picked up another win in Misfits Boxing, stopping Gabriel Silva — Anderson Silva’s son — in the third round at Misfits Boxing 17 in Dublin, Ireland. Following his win, Taylor then called out Till for a fight, and it appears that “The Gorilla” is only too happy to oblige, responding to Taylor via social media.

“This is a message to Anthony Taylor,” Till said. “I don’t usually do this shit, but I’ve seen you call me out this weekend. Well done on your victory. I will fight you anywhere, right now. Whatever event Misfits want to put on. If you want to do it in my city and you want to try and knock me out in Liverpool, then we will do it here. At any weight, whatever date. Because you sir are f*cking shite, and I think everyone else on it is shite. I will not even train for someone like you and I will knock you flat out, OK?”

A former UFC welterweight title challenger, Till was granted his release from the UFC in 2023 following his loss to Dricus du Plessis. Till was then supposed to face former boxing world champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in his boxing debut this summer on the undercard of the planned Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight. That event was postponed, so Till pivoted and instead returned to action against Mohammad Mutie at Social Knockout 3. Till won the bout by controversial TKO, which led to a brawl breaking out in the ring.

Taylor is also a former MMA fighter, having competed multiple times for Bellator MMA. He made the transition to boxing in 2021 where he’s compiled a 7-4-1 record, including four straight wins inside of the Misfits ring.
