Darren Till is set to make his Misfits Boxing debut against Anthony Taylor in an eight-round heavyweight match on January 18 in Manchester, after Tommy Fury withdrew from their originally scheduled bout.
Darren Till is finally ready to step into the Misfits Boxing ring.
Announced on Sunday, Till will clash with Anthony Taylor in an eight-round heavyweight showdown. It’s the main event of Misfits X Series 20, happening January 18 at Co-op Live in Manchester, England. Meanwhile, Wade Plemons is set to take on Masai Warrior in a four-round co-main event.
Originally, Till was meant to fight Tommy Fury. But Fury pulled out earlier this month, claiming he feared Till would use “stupid MMA tactics.” A boxer through and through, Fury didn’t want any part of that. Till? He laughed it off, suggesting Fury’s comments were just hype-building antics. Yet, here we are: Fury’s out, and Taylor’s in. Most recently, Till took down Mohammad Mutie by TKO in a Social Knockout exhibition match back in July.
And hey, if Till decides to dip into his MMA playbook? No biggie for Taylor. Known in the influencer boxing scene, Taylor’s no stranger to mixed martial arts. With 11 MMA fights under his belt and a start in Bellator, he’s got some tricks of his own.
