Derek Brunson vs Rodolfo Vieira Headline ADXC 7 Brazil

Derek Brunson will face Rodolfo Vieira in a grappling match at ADXC 7 in Rio de Janeiro on November 17, with the event also featuring Gesias Cavalcante versus Piter Frank.

Derek Brunson’s headed back to Brazil! He’s set for a grappling showdown with Rodolfo Vieira, headlining ADXC 7. The company spilled the beans on Friday. Mark your calendars for Nov. 17 in Rio de Janeiro.

Brunson? A seasoned warrior with 33 MMA battles under his belt and 24 victories. Five of those wins? Submissions. Remember his rear-naked choke victory over Darren Till in 2023? That was his last UFC triumph. Now he’s with the PFL. Fun fact: he’s fought in Brazil before—knocked out Lyoto Machida in Sao Paulo, 2017.

Now, let’s talk Vieira. He’s a jiu-jitsu legend, boasting five IBJJF world titles and an ADCC gold medal. Impressive, right? Out of his 10 MMA wins, nine came by submission. Recently, he tapped out two UFC opponents using arm-triangle chokes.

But wait, there’s more! ADXC 7 isn’t just about Brunson and Vieira. Former K-1 HERO’s lightweight champ Gesias Cavalcante is also on the card. He’s facing Piter Frank, who recently submitted Rafael Domingos at the UFC Fight Pass Invitational 7 in May.
