Dillon Danis expressed frustration at Logan Paul for posting a photo with backup fighter Mike Perry, saying it felt like a diversion from promoting their own fight, and assured that he plans to win their match with a knockout or by forcing a corner throw-in.
Dillon Danis has continually been instigating Logan Paul by posting pictures of Paul’s fiancee. However, Danis confessed that an image from their recent press conference managed to unsettle him. The picture showed Paul having a face-off with Mike Perry, the BKFC star who would replace Danis if he doesn’t appear for their upcoming fight.
“It bothers me,” said Danis during an interview with his promoter, Misfits Boxing. He was irritated that Paul had posted that picture which seemed like an attempt to downplay their fight. As Danis pointed out, he was there in London, going through the press rounds and building the fight hype, while Paul seemed more focused on deflecting attention. “He never directs at me, too. It’s either at Conor [McGregor] or somewhere else. It’s really weird,” Danis added.
During the press conference, many were surprised to see Danis in attendance as some presumed his involvement would be restricted to controversial tweets. Things took an unexpected turn when John Fury, father of headliner Tommy Fury, created a scene and disrupted the gathering. This prompted the organizers to take Danis to a different area, and Perry faced off with Paul.
Reflecting on the incident backstage, Danis promised he would be present on the fight night barring something extraordinary. “Well, in the contract, unless I get hit by a car or something, yeah. I mean, I don’t know anything can happen, but yeah, in the contract I have to show or it’s a $100,000 fine, or the doctors have to check me. So yeah, something crazy happens. I don’t know, you never know in life, but I’ll be there,” he said. Danis is looking forward to getting the last laugh in what has been a heated buildup to the fight, promising, “I think a knockout, a knockout or his corner throws in the towel, it’s such a bad beating.”
