Miranda Maverick will face Dione Barbosa at UFC Vegas 94 after her original opponent, Tracy Cortez, was reassigned to fight Rose Namajunas, with Maverick aiming to extend her winning streak and Barbosa coming off a debut victory.

The former Invicta FC flyweight champion will now face Dione Barbosa at the UFC APEX. This change comes after her original opponent, Tracy Cortez, was moved to a clash with Rose Namajunas a week before in Denver. Multiple sources confirmed this to MMA Fighting.
Maverick (13-5) aims to extend her winning streak to three. She recently secured back-to-back victories over Priscila Cachoeira and Andrea Lee. Her UFC record stands at 6-3, with three stoppages under her belt.
Barbosa (7-2) made an impressive octagon debut at UFC 301 in Rio de Janeiro, defeating Ernesta Kareckaite via unanimous decision. Known as “The Witch,” she has won her past four fights. Notably, she achieved a first-round armbar finish over Rainn Guerrero at Dana White’s Contender Series in September 2023.
UFC Vegas 94 will be headlined by former title contender Amanda Lemos taking on jiu-jitsu expert Virna Jandiroba. The event also features Brad Tavares vs. Jun Yong Park and Doo Ho Choi vs. Bill Algeo.
