UFC middleweight champion Dricus du Plessis trolled Israel Adesanya on social media for his emotional outburst during a heated exchange at the UFC 305 pre-fight press conference.
UFC middleweight champion Dricus du Plessis didn’t waste a second trolling Israel Adesanya. This came after Adesanya’s emotional outburst at the UFC 305 pre-fight press conference on Friday.
During a heated exchange, du Plessis mocked Adesanya over past comments. Adesanya had mentioned growing up in Nigeria and not learning to bathe himself until he was eight, relying on domestic servants. When asked about winning and taking the belt back to Africa, du Plessis quipped, “Are you taking the servants with you when you’re going back?”
This jab hit a nerve. Adesanya broke down, saying, “He touched a subject there because I do this for my family… look, I am a f*cking human being, I am a man. I can cry and whoop your ass at the same time.”
The press conference wrapped up shortly after. Du Plessis didn’t get to respond then but took to social media later. He tweeted, “Come on guys stop crying at the press conferences it’s not that serious,” adding a laughing emoji aimed squarely at Adesanya.

He didn’t stop there. Du Plessis posted a photo of Adesanya in tears from the press conference with the caption, “I win the screenshot game.”
This likely referenced another tense moment from earlier in the week. Adesanya had shared a controversial photo that caught du Plessis’ attention both at UFC 305 media day and during the press conference.
Clearly, du Plessis aimed to have the last word. His posts were all about trolling Adesanya for crying during their fiery exchange on Friday.
The fighters will face off one more time at the ceremonial weigh-ins on Friday. Come Saturday night, they’ll finally settle their beef in the cage.
