Dustin Poirier Teases Last Dance, Digs at Conor McGregor

Dustin Poirier is hinting at a potential final fight after his loss to Islam Makhachev at UFC 302, while also engaging in social media banter with Conor McGregor and expressing readiness for a rematch if Makhachev’s next fight falls through.

Dustin Poirier hasn’t officially decided on retirement yet. However, he’s hinting at the possibility of one last fight.

In June, during UFC 302’s main event, Poirier faced lightweight champ Islam Makhachev. He was submitted in the fifth round, likely his final shot at undisputed UFC gold.

After the loss, Poirier spoke to Joe Rogan. He mentioned it might have been his last fight but didn’t confirm either way.

On Sunday, Poirier took to Twitter. He discussed various topics and teased fans with hints of another bout.

“The Last Dance. Let ’em know,” he tweeted.

At 36 years old, Poirier had more to say. He even borrowed a tactic from his rival Conor McGregor and threw some shade.

“Hey [Conor McGregor], it felt so nice, I did it twice ya bumskie,” Poirier wrote.

If he decides to return to the octagon, who could he face? Poirier hinted at a rematch with Makhachev if his title defense against Arman Tsarukyan falls through.

“If Arman can’t fight, let’s go again,” Poirier told Makhachev.
