Eblen vs. Edwards 2 Rebooked for Ngannou vs. Ferreira PFL PPV

Johnny Eblen and Fabian Edwards will have their middleweight championship rematch on October 19 at the PFL pay-per-view in Saudi Arabia, after their original bout was canceled.

Johnny Eblen and Fabian Edwards have a new date for their middleweight championship rematch.

The promotion revealed that Eblen vs. Edwards 2 for the Bellator 185-pound title will now take place at the PFL’s pay-per-view card on Oct. 19 in Saudi Arabia. The bout was originally set for Bellator London this past weekend but was scratched.

In their first meeting, Eblen stopped Edwards via third-round TKO at Bellator 299 a year ago. It was his second successful title defense since capturing the belt from Gegard Mousasi in June 2022. Since then, Eblen squeaked out a split decision victory over 2023 PFL light heavyweight champ Impa Kasangany at PFL vs. Bellator in February.

Edwards, the brother of former UFC welterweight champion Leon Edwards, earned his opportunity for a rematch with a unanimous decision win over Aaron Jeffery at Bellator Belfast in March. The 31-year-old is 4-1 in his past five outings.

The PFL’s upcoming pay-per-view card will be headlined by Francis Ngannou vs. Renan Ferreira. Cris Cyborg faces Larissa Pacheco in the co-main event.
