Edson Barboza Withdraws from UFC Seattle Fight vs Steve Garcia

The UFC Seattle card has faced multiple setbacks, including Edson Barboza‘s withdrawal due to injury and Dominick Cruz‘s retirement, with Curtis Blaydes‘ fight being moved to another event, while the main event will feature Henry Cejudo versus Song Yadong.

The UFC Seattle card’s been hit again. Edson Barboza’s out—knocked off the lineup against Steve Garcia on Feb. 22. An injury, but no one’s saying what exactly happened.

Sources spilled the beans to MMA Fighting. It seems injuries are playing spoiler once more. And not just Barboza. Dominick Cruz, a former bantamweight champ, has retired, leaving Rob Font without an opponent.

Cancellations seem to be the theme for Seattle’s return. Curtis Blaydes vs. Rizvan Kuniev? That’s moving too. Expect it at UFC 313 on March 8 instead.

Steve Garcia’s left in limbo now. Will he fight someone else? No word yet. Quite a bummer for him, really. He was on a roll—five straight wins, all knockouts within two rounds.

But hey, there’s still some excitement! Henry Cejudo’s making a comeback. The former two-division champ is set to face Song Yadong in a must-watch bantamweight clash.

Final plans for UFC Seattle? Still under wraps. The bout order remains a mystery as well. Stay tuned!
