Elon Musk & Mark Zuckerberg’s Charity Livestream on X

Elon Musk has reignited discussions about a potential exhibition bout with Mark Zuckerberg, which will be live-streamed on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, and all proceeds will be donated to a charity for veterans.

Elon Musk continues to fan the flames of a potential clash with Mark Zuckerberg. This feud between billionaires has been brewing for some time, with talks of a possible exhibition bout surfacing in recent months. Although the discussion seemed to have died down, Musk reignited it with a post on Sunday suggesting that the fight will be live-streamed on X, which is the new face of the social media platform still widely recognized as Twitter.

Musk took to X to tease his followers with a cryptic message about the bout. He tweeted, “Zuck v Musk fight will be live-streamed on X. All proceeds will go to charity for veterans.” However, details remain scant as Musk does not provide a date or any information about the charity to which the proceeds will go. Zuckerberg has not yet responded publicly to Musk’s latest allegations.

In recent times, Musk has been promoting the live-streaming capabilities of X in the midst of fierce competition in the social media sphere. Zuckerberg has launched Threads as a rival to the rebranded Twitter. Musk’s acquisition of Twitter in October for $44 billion caused a major shift in the social media landscape. Following drastic changes to the platform, advertisers began leaving X in droves, causing a 50% drop in ad revenue and pushing X into a negative cash flow situation, as reported by Musk himself. Threads also fell following an initial successful launch of around 100 million sign-ups, losing over half its users according to Zuckerberg.

Dana White, the president of the UFC, has shown interest in promoting the Musk vs. Zuckerberg bout, although the possibility of it taking place at UFC 300 next year has been ruled out. There’s been interest from various MMA stars who have expressed their willingness to get involved in the training process. Notably, Jon Jones has offered to train Zuckerberg, while Georges St-Pierre has warmly voiced his support for Team Musk.
