Ex-UFC Fighter Bryan Caraway Leads Insurance Fraud Most Wanted List

Former UFC fighter Bryan Caraway is facing legal trouble for failing to appear at a pre-trial hearing in an insurance fraud case involving allegations of forging documents and filing a false claim about a stolen ATV, which he allegedly took from his ex-girlfriend.

Bryan Caraway, a former UFC fighter, finds himself in trouble again. He missed a pre-trial conference in Washington state related to an insurance fraud case dating back to 2021.

The criminal investigations unit updated its “most wanted list,” placing Caraway at the top after his no-show. Initially, he was listed when the investigation began but later scheduled an arraignment hearing.

Here’s the latest from Washington’s insurance commissioner’s office:

“Caraway failed to appear for Pre-Trial Conference after being charged with Forgery, False Statement on Vehicle Application Certificate of Title, False Claims or Proof in excess of $1500, and Attempted Theft.”

The charges stemmed from allegations that Caraway stole an ATV from his ex-girlfriend, Miesha Tate, also a UFC veteran. He reportedly filed a fraudulent insurance claim for the vehicle.

According to the investigation, Caraway claimed a 2015 Polaris RZR was stolen from his property in December 2018. He bought insurance on Dec. 21 and filed a claim on Dec. 24. He told GEICO he purchased the ATV for $18,500 and presented a title showing it was gifted by his ex in January 2018.

Evidence suggested Caraway forged the title; the vehicle wasn’t stolen but remained with his ex-girlfriend. Consequently, Caraway withdrew the claim, and GEICO referred the case to Kreidler’s CIU as required.

If convicted, Caraway could face jail time and fines.

At 40, Caraway last fought in the UFC in 2018, losing by knockout to Pedro Munhoz. He had one more fight post-UFC, securing a victory at Battlefield FC in 2019.
