Greg Hardy Cartoonishly Knocked Out in Russian Boxing Match

Greg Hardy, a former NFL and UFC athlete, suffered his first boxing defeat against Alexei Papin in Moscow, marking another unpredictable chapter in his combat sports career.

Greg Hardy’s combat sports journey? It’s a wild ride, full of unexpected twists and turns. On Friday, he stepped into the ring against Russian boxer and kickboxer Alexei Papin at the Megasport Sport Palace in Moscow.

Hardy was undefeated in boxing—until this bout. In the third round, Papin unleashed a flurry of punches. A left hook sent Hardy sprawling to the canvas, almost like a scene from a cartoon.

You gotta see that knockout! Seriously, check it out below.

Once upon a time, Hardy was an NFL All-Pro and UFC heavyweight. He kicked off his MMA career on Contender Series. Eventually, he landed in the UFC, where he racked up a 4-5 record with one no-contest. But after finishing his contract in 2022 on a three-fight losing streak, he wasn’t re-signed.

Since then? He’s dabbled in boxing and bare-knuckle boxing. Oh, and he’s recently signed with Global Fight League, a new MMA promotion. Talk about keeping busy!
