Henry Cejudo shares live reaction to Israel Adesanya’s middleweight title win

Henry Cejudo reacts to Israel Adesanya winning back the middleweight title and points out a potential flaw in his game.

Former two-division champion Henry Cejudo posted his live reaction to the UFC 287 main event, where Alex Pereira and Israel Adesanya had a rematch. Cejudo took a swipe at Joe Rogan, saying, “Look at Joe Rogan. Every fight is the greatest ever.” Cejudo praised Adesanya for putting “a sock on everybody’s mouth,” but also pointed out a flaw in his game, saying, “His defense to leg kicks isn’t all there.”

According to Cejudo, Adesanya is too straight forward, and Pereira had him hurt during the fight. But Adesanya ultimately won and got to exact revenge in the process. Cejudo congratulated Adesanya, saying, “You have to give credit where credit is due.”

The MMA community was eagerly waiting for the Adesanya-Pereira rematch. Adesanya regained the middleweight crown and got his revenge over Pereira, who had previously defeated him twice in kickboxing fights. In addition to Cejudo, former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping also reacted to Adesanya’s victory over Pereira in a post-fight video on YouTube.

Despite his victory, Cejudo’s observation of Adesanya’s straightforwardness and leg kick defense may raise questions about his next opponent’s strategy. Nonetheless, Adesanya’s win over Pereira was a significant milestone in his career, and he now looks forward to defending his middleweight crown in the future.
