Former UFC champion Henry Cejudo announces that he and his wife are expecting their second child.
Former UFC double champion Henry Cejudo and his wife Ana Karolina have announced that they are expecting their second child. The couple’s first child, a daughter named America, was born in 2021. Cejudo took to Instagram to share the news with his followers, posting two photos of himself and his wife holding a small black t-shirt with a caption that read, “And then there were four or even better, C4.”
Cejudo, 34, has been on a hiatus from MMA since May 2020. He announced his retirement shortly after his victory over Dominick Cruz at UFC 249, citing a desire to focus on starting a family. In an interview with ESPN, Cejudo said that he would only return to the octagon if it was for a title fight. He has since teased a comeback, stating that he would fight Aljamain Sterling when asked about a possible return.
If Cejudo were to return and defeat Sterling in their proposed matchup in May, he would reclaim his bantamweight title. However, if Sterling were to emerge victorious, he would cement his position as one of the greatest bantamweights in UFC history. Cejudo, who has held titles in both the flyweight and bantamweight divisions, is widely regarded as one of the best MMA fighters of all time.
Off the mat, Cejudo has been busy growing his family with his wife Ana Karolina. The couple, who married in 2020, seem excited about starting a new chapter in their lives with the arrival of their second child. Fans around the world are equally thrilled for the Cejudo family and eagerly await any news on their upcoming bundle of joy.
