Henry Cejudo vs Song Yadong Set to Headline UFC Seattle

Henry Cejudo is set to face Song Yadong in a crucial bantamweight bout headlining UFC Seattle on February 22, 2025, after returning from retirement and experiencing recent losses.

Henry Cejudo’s stepping into the octagon for his first fight of 2025, and it’s a do-or-die moment. This could be a must-win situation for him.

Three insiders with the scoop confirmed that Cejudo’s gearing up for a bantamweight showdown against Song Yadong. The fight is set to headline UFC Seattle on Feb. 22 at Climate Pledge Arena. Kevin K was the first to spill the beans about this matchup.

Remember when Cejudo stopped Dominick Cruz at UFC 249 back in May 2020? Shortly after, he surprised everyone by announcing his retirement. But “Triple C” couldn’t stay away; he made a comeback at UFC 288 in May 2023. He challenged Aljamain Sterling for the 135-pound title but lost via split decision. Tough break!

Cejudo didn’t stop there. He faced off against the current champ, Merab Dvalishvili, at UFC 298 this past February. Unfortunately, it was another tough night for him, losing decisively.

On the flip side, Song Yadong only fought once in 2024, dropping a decision to former champ Petr Yan at UFC 299. Before that, though, he had some impressive wins—a stoppage over Ricky Simon and a unanimous decision against Chris Gutierrez in main event bouts.

By the way, Damon Martin had a hand in putting together this report.
