Torrez Finney, who was victorious on the most recent season of Dana White’s Contender Series but was not signed to a contract, may be reconsidered by UFC after he landed a knockout punch on Tyson Jeffries at a Combat Night event in Jacksonville, Florida.
Torrez Finney deserves another look from UFC, don’t you think? This guy just won big on Dana White’s Contender Series. But, weirdly enough, he didn’t get a contract. So, he’s back to grinding it out on the regional scene.
He’s only 25, but he’s already making waves. He proved it at a Combat Night event in Jacksonville, Fla., last Saturday. And boy, did he land a haymaker on Tyson Jeffries.
Want to see the knockout? It’s a sight to behold.
In the video, you can see Finney stepping up. He throws an overhand right and bam! Jeffries’ head takes the full brunt. The camera angle is just perfect. It captures Jeffries’ terrifying fall as he face-plants onto the canvas.
And Finney? He’s just walking off, basking in his well-deserved KO glory.
There’s an on-screen graphic that asks, “Is he ready, Dana White?” Well, is he?
Finney’s record now stands at 7-0. He’s a bit on the short side for the middleweight division, standing at 5-foot-8. But if he keeps knocking ’em out like this, he’s bound to get another shot at the Contender Series.
So, keep an eye out for him next season.
