Israel Adesanya Responds to Shara Bullet Callout

Israel Adesanya humorously reacted to Shara Magomedov‘s callout after UFC 308, referencing memes and expressing surprise at being targeted for a fight.

Israel Adesanya didn’t quite expect to hear his name on Saturday night. It was a surprise, to say the least.

After Shara Magomedov’s jaw-dropping double backfist knockout of Armen Petrosyan at UFC 308, things got interesting. Magomedov—known in the ring as "Shara Bullet"—boldly declared himself the top striker in the middleweight division. And he set his sights on Adesanya for his next fight. Bold move, right?

Adesanya, ever the entertainer, had a reaction video up on YouTube in no time. In it, he threw out a couple of memes to spice things up.

"Keep my name out your f*cking mouth," he chuckled, nodding to that unforgettable Will Smith-Chris Rock Oscars moment from 2022. Classic Adesanya humor.

He didn’t stop there. He added, “What the fck did I do? What he say fck me, for?” channeling 50 Cent’s bewildered response to Floyd Mayweather’s verbal jabs back in 2014.

Magomedov claims he’s been chasing a fight with Adesanya since their days on the Chinese kickboxing circuit. But Adesanya seemed a bit puzzled by this claim—like he’d never heard of such history between them.

Currently, Adesanya is shaking off a submission loss to Dricus du Plessis from August. He aimed for a third middleweight title win but ended up with his third loss in four fights instead. Tough break for the champ.
