Israel Adesanya is preparing for his UFC 287 rematch with a different mindset and training camp, and is determined to give it his all.
Former middleweight champion Israel Adesanya is gearing up for his UFC 287 rematch with current titleholder Alex Pereira. Adesanya has lost to Pereira twice in kickboxing and once in mixed martial arts. However, Adesanya says that his mindset is different heading into the MMA rematch, and this time he is coming better prepared.
Adesanya’s training camp for this fight is unique. The fighter is the only athlete preparing for the fight at City Kickboxing, unlike previous fights where he trained alongside other fighters. Adesanya believes that this tactic is beneficial because it puts all the focus on him.
“I like it cause it puts it all on me,” Adesanya said. “It’s kind of poetic in a way. Like I said, one life. Roll the dice. It’s my last shot. I’m going to give it all I’ve got in every sense of the word.”
UFC 287 will take place on April 8 in Miami, Florida, which is the first event the UFC will hold in Miami since April 2003. Fans are excited to watch Adesanya and Pereira go head-to-head once again. As the fight approaches, Adesanya is looking forward to giving the match his all, and his unique training and new mindset give him an edge in the rematch.
