Jacqueline Cavalcanti vs Julia Avila Set for Feb 15 UFC Card

Jacqueline Cavalcanti and Julia Avila have agreed to a bantamweight fight at a UFC event on February 15, though contracts are not yet signed and the location is unannounced.

Jacqueline Cavalcanti and Julia Avila are set to clash in a bantamweight bout on February 15 at a UFC event. Although the contracts aren’t inked yet, insiders have spilled the beans to MMA Fighting. The venue? Still under wraps.

Initially, Cavalcanti was supposed to throw down with Germaine de Randamie, UFC’s inaugural featherweight champ, in January 2025. But plot twist! The Dutch fighter decided to hang up her gloves recently.

Cavalcanti’s been on fire, boasting an 8-1 record. Since joining the UFC in 2023, she’s racked up three consecutive wins against Zarah Fairn, Josiane Nunes, and Nora Cornolle. Impressive, right?

Avila, with a solid 9-3 record, has also made waves. She triumphed in three of her first four UFC matches, taking down Pannie Kianzad, Gina Mazany, and Julija Stoliarenko. However, her last fight didn’t go as planned—she tapped out to a face crank against ex-UFC champ Miesha Tate.

Oh, and by the way, Mike Heck had a hand in this report.
