Jake Paul Promises to Knock Out Mike Tyson

Jake Paul is confident about knocking out Mike Tyson in their upcoming boxing match, despite acknowledging Tyson’s formidable power and legacy, while Tyson remains unfazed and determined to win.

Jake Paul is convinced he’s destined to knock out Mike Tyson.

His confidence is through the roof as he gears up to face the boxing icon this Friday at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The match will be broadcast live on Netflix. Paul, who transitioned from YouTuber and social media influencer to boxer, is meeting his toughest opponent yet: the legendary 58-year-old Tyson.

“Iron Mike” returns for his first sanctioned fight since 2015 (his last ring appearance was a 2020 exhibition against Roy Jones Jr.). In his heyday, Tyson was renowned for his knockout prowess, securing multiple world titles and becoming one of sport’s most iconic figures.

Before the November 15 event, Paul and Tyson sat down for a candid YouTube interview. Paul eloquently described what it would mean to KO Tyson.

“When it happens, it’ll be bittersweet,” Paul mused. “I’ve got love for him, but right now we’re meant to clash. Warriors take food off each other’s plates. I’ve dreamt this moment, manifested it, and after a 12-year journey in entertainment, acting, and boxing, this is my time to shine. I’m going to show the world who I really am.”

“Everyone doubted me,” he continued. “Nothing was handed over easily. Canceled five times! Yet here I am hosting the biggest event in entertainment. It’s proof of what hard work can achieve. I hope it inspires kids facing adversity.”

Asked if he’s certain about knocking Tyson out, Paul didn’t hesitate: “It’s already written.”

“This is the baddest man on Earth,” Paul added. “Heavyweight champ. Just look at him! An animal! His Instagram posts scare me with how fit he looks, but I have to rise to this challenge and prove I can do the impossible. That’s Jake Paul’s story.”

When asked about a potential loss affecting his legacy, Tyson had an interesting take:

Tyson: “Legacy? That’s ego talk. Who cares? We all die eventually. But he won’t win.”

Paul: “Putting this man to sleep would be historic for boxing!”

Tyson: “He dreams too much. Not happening, young man.”

Paul: “I respect your view, but it’s my time. The universe knows it, you’ll see.”

Despite his bravado, Paul confessed some worries about the fight’s outcome on Friday. Of Tyson’s 50 wins, 44 were knockouts—many remembered for their sheer brutality.

Paul doesn’t fancy getting hit but is prepared for anything.

“I must stay alert,” Paul remarked. “This guy’s terrifying! He still packs power in every sparring session shown online.”

“My mom can’t even watch him punch; it scares her,” he added. “His uppercut is deadly! I know he’ll have moments in there where I’ll need to persevere.”

For Tyson, likely his final bout isn’t just a farewell party; he aims to go out on top—a chance missed against Kevin McBride in June 2005.

In his mind? Millions will witness his hand raised once more.

“I’m not losing,” Tyson declared confidently. “Can’t even imagine it happening! It won’t be an easy night for you.”

“I don’t think that,” Paul replied coolly. “It’ll be a war of ages where fans ultimately win out. But deep down? I know neither of us will quit easily—that’s the beauty here!”
