Jamahal Hill and Jiri Prochazka, both former UFC light heavyweight champions who suffered knockout losses to Alex Pereira, are set to face each other at UFC 311, with Hill asserting that he will demonstrate their difference in skill levels.
Jamahal Hill and Jiri Prochazka both faced devastating knockouts in 2024. UFC light heavyweight champ Alex Pereira was the man behind those memorable moments. Yet, Hill thinks his loss was a bit more “acceptable.”
These former titleholders are set to clash at UFC 311 on January 18 in Los Angeles. Prochazka, who suffered a brutal head kick KO by Pereira at UFC 303, wasn’t too happy with Hill’s critique of his performance. Hill had also been stopped by Pereira at UFC 300, but in the first round.
Hill didn’t hold back after Prochazka’s comments. He decided to play the knockout comparison game. Who did it worse?
“Bro, are you kidding me?” Hill exclaimed on his YouTube channel. “We faced the same guy last time, right? People wanna hate, but I don’t care. I’m coming for you.”
“You got dominated,” Hill continued. “Completely shut down and exposed. I just got caught. Big difference, man. Your ponytail was literally to the left! Wear it like that in L.A., so I can knock it sideways again.”
Both fighters once held UFC gold after beating Pereira’s mentor Glover Teixeira. But neither defended their titles due to injuries. Prochazka had two more shots at the title but fell short against Pereira both times. Hill also couldn’t reclaim his belt.
On paper, their stories seem similar, but Hill insists he’s on another level. The upcoming pay-per-view will be his chance to prove it.
“You wanna talk performances?” Hill challenged. “Look at mine—dominating wins. You just survive for a win. We’re not the same, and come Jan. 18 in L.A., I’ll show you why.”
