Jamahal Hill Speaks on Alleged Assault of Brother, Awaits Court Truth Reveal

UFC fighter Jamahal Hill has been charged with misdemeanor domestic violence following an alleged altercation with his brother, but he maintains his innocence and is confident he will be vindicated in court.

Jamahal Hill is in the midst of a serious situation. He’s confident that he’ll be vindicated soon regarding recent charges related to an alleged family dispute.

On the first day of December, news broke out. Hill was charged with misdemeanor domestic violence in Kent County, Michigan. The alleged victim? James Anthony Hill Jr., who happens to be Hill’s brother, according to TMZ’s initial report.

The case is still ongoing. Not much has been shared by those involved, but Hill did address the matter. He did so in a YouTube video that popped up over the weekend.

In the video, he said, “There’s been a lot of reports out today about the situation that happened when I was back home in Michigan, visiting for the holidays.” He didn’t say much else though. He’s been advised to keep mum, which he’s doing.

Hill’s really looking forward to his day in court. He can’t wait for the truth to come out. He asked those who know him and his character to hold onto their beliefs about him. That was all he was willing to say on the matter.

Currently, state prosecutors are charging Hill with a single count of misdemeanor aggravated domestic violence. They’re expected to set a court date for January soon.

Brian Butler, Hill’s manager from Suckerpunch Entertainment, has also spoken about the allegations. He released a statement to MMA Fighting.

In the statement, Butler wrote, “The recent ‘clickbait’ headlines about Jamahal Hill were based on an alleged dispute between him and his older brother.” He also mentioned that Hill adamantly maintains his innocence and denies the false accusations. They won’t be commenting anymore until the truth comes out in court.

Hill had a significant win earlier this year. He won a vacant light heavyweight title with a one-sided decision win over Glover Teixeira at UFC 283. However, an Achilles tendon injury forced him to give up the title six months later. In his absence, Alex Pereira defeated Jiri Prochazka at UFC 295 to claim the vacant championship.
