Jean Silva attempted to provoke Bryce Mitchell during a UFC 314 press conference by trolling him with a globe and leading a chant against him, following controversial comments Mitchell made about Adolf Hitler and the Holocaust.
Jean Silva wasted no time. He went straight for Bryce Mitchell’s nerves.
Silva and Mitchell are gearing up for a clash at UFC 314, set for April 12 in Miami. This featherweight bout is part of a packed card, featuring a main event where Alexander Volkanovski faces Diego Lopes for the vacant championship.
Ahead of UFC 313, Silva and Mitchell attended a press conference for UFC 314 on Friday. Silva brought a globe to troll Mitchell.
Mitchell’s first question was met with boos. It referenced his controversial podcast comments about Adolf Hitler and the Holocaust. Before he could answer, Silva cut him off, leading a “F*ck Bryce Mitchell” chant that the crowd eagerly joined.
Mitchell didn’t stay silent for long. He fired back at Silva.
“You’re barking up the wrong tree, motherf*cker,” Mitchell retorted.
Silva kept taunting Mitchell with the globe, trying to get under “Thug Nasty’s” skin, until Jon Anik intervened to keep things moving.
The intensity rose as the fighters faced off on stage for their first staredown.
