Johnny Walker vs Bogdan Guskov at UFC 311 in January

Johnny Walker and Bogdan Guskov are set to face off at UFC 311 on January 18, with the event rumored to take place in Los Angeles, as Walker seeks to rebound from recent losses while Guskov aims to continue his winning streak.

Light heavyweights Johnny Walker and Bogdan Guskov are gearing up for a clash at UFC 311. The event’s penciled in for Jan. 18, though the venue’s still up in the air—word on the street? Los Angeles.

Sources privy to the promotion’s plans spilled the beans to MMA Fighting earlier this week. Red Corner MMA got the scoop first, breaking the news online.

Walker, eyeing redemption, steps back into the octagon come January. His recent record? Not great—0-2 with a no contest. Last time out, Oezdemir knocked him cold in Saudi Arabia.

Despite recent setbacks, Walker’s still a force at 205 pounds. Remember his victories over Anthony Smith and Paul Craig? Yeah, those were something.

On the flip side, Guskov from Uzbekistan is riding high. His last two fights? Knockouts against Ryan Spann and Zac Pauga. But Oezdemir got him too—submission loss in September ’23.

The Walker vs. Guskov bout adds more heat to UFC 311. Main event? Still TBD. Rumors swirl about Islam Makhachev‘s return in January, but nothing’s set in stone yet.
